Position: PART-TIME ESOL TEACHERS (ENGLISH LANGUAGE INSTITUTE)

Situated on the British School of Lomé campus, the English Language Institute offers EAL, ESOL, exam preparation and professional skills training to students and the wider community.
JOB OVERVIEW:
The English Language Institute is seeking enthusiastic, creative and experienced English language teachers to join our growing team on a part-time basis. Successful candidates will work with a range of learners – children, teenagers or adults – according to their experience and availability.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
● Native-level proficiency in English (native speaker or C2 Level)
● A bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject
● DELTA, CELTA or equivalent recognised TEFL qualification
● Availability from January 2026 for day-time and/or evening teaching
● Strong grounding in communicative language teaching methodologies
● Ability to design and deliver engaging, learner-centred lessons
● Excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills
● Experience teaching primary, secondary and/or adults
● Demonstrable experience teaching one or more of the following:
● General ESOL (all levels)
● IELTS preparation courses
● English as an additional language (EAP) programmes
● English for Specific Purposes (ESP) courses
● Academic skills
● Business English
● Professional skills training
DESIRABLE QUALITIES AND EXPERIENCE:
● Experience teaching in international contexts
● Experience with curriculum development and assessment
● Experience with digital learning platforms
● Flexibility, initiative, and a willingness to contribute to wider ELI development
